Death of a minor in stone blasting.

Patnaik )Ritesh Majhi (14) of Marichmal village under Damanjodi police station and two friends Rites Majhi and Pritam Khara went to take a bath in the nearby Marichmal river at 4:30 in the afternoon. Both were standing on the bridge of the main road. At around 50 minutes, a stone suddenly fell on Ritesh's head and cracked his head and a part of his head came out and he was bleeding profusely. The villagers got the news and admitted Ritesh to Mathalput hospital. The doctor declared Ritesh dead. According to the information, Salbin Majhi of Marichmal village. Ritesh, the son of Salbin Majhi and Jharana Majhi, of Marichamal village is a student of class 8 at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Damanjodi. Mother is an Asha Karmi while father works in agriculture. Very poor family. Ritesh is the only son of parents. The entire village is mourning the death of Ritesh. The villagers have complained that illegal stone quarry blasting is going on day and night in the hills near the river. No one is listening to their complaints. No precautions are taken during the blasting. As a result, many lives and property are lost. The innocent son who is the sole support of his parents has lost his life, the villagers said with great sadness. The people of the village reached the spot and blocked the main road. The villagers are being consulted. But the villagers are demanding the immediate arrest of the stone quarry owner and proper compensation. Damanjodi police have reached the hospital and started investigation.
